Risk Disclaimer

Please read this before you run any program from the Lab on a live account. The Lab makes software; it does not give financial advice, and checked code is not the same as a profitable strategy.

Trading is risky

Trading foreign exchange (forex), contracts for difference (CFDs), gold, indices, cryptocurrencies and other leveraged products carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for everyone. Leverage can work against you as well as for you: you can lose your whole deposit, quickly, and with some accounts more than you deposited. Only trade with money you can afford to lose, and seek independent advice if you are unsure.

The Lab writes code, not advice

The Lab builds, converts, fixes, checks and explains MetaTrader programs based on what you tell it, and FXNook Telemetry shows what your programs do. Nothing in the Lab, on our website, in our emails or from our support is financial, investment, tax or trading advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. The Lab does not recommend strategies, markets, brokers or position sizes.

Telemetry summaries and recommendations describe what your program reported, such as rejected orders or rules that block entries. They are about how the software behaves, not advice on whether or how to trade.

Checked is not the same as profitable

Our checks confirm that code compiles, uses the right platform's functions, reaches its trading code, follows the rules you set and avoids common broker problems. The AI dry run reads the code for mistakes that would stop it working. None of this can tell you whether a strategy will make money.

A converted program may behave differently on the other platform, with another broker, account type, symbol specification, spread, commission, swap, execution model or terminal build. The conversion report lists the differences we know of; there may be others.

Past and simulated results

Backtests, Strategy Tester results, simulated signals and demo results do not guarantee future results. Simulated results have limits: they may not reflect real execution, slippage, liquidity, requotes, gaps, news events or the psychological pressure of live trading, and a strategy can be over-fitted to the past.

Test before you trust it

Before running any program live: run it in the MetaTrader Strategy Tester, run it on a demo account long enough to see it in different market conditions, check its inputs, lot sizes, stop losses and maximum risk yourself, and start small. Monitor it while it runs.

When you choose to run a program live, that decision and its results are yours alone. FXNook is not liable for trading losses, as set out in the Terms of Service.

No affiliation
